Description

The X5 E53 does not have the iDrive system: it came with a conventional head unit. This device replaces it entirely to bring Android Auto and Apple CarPlay into the cabin. No other vehicle function is affected by this installation.

Installation involves removing the original head unit and fitting this new device in the same location.

Before ordering, verify that your X5 E53 still has its original head unit or a device occupying the same mounting location. On a vehicle of this generation, produced between 1999 and 2006, prior modifications to the head unit slot are common. Refer to the compatibility chart on the page.
