Description

The term “connected head unit” distinguishes this product from a simple interface module: this is a full replacement of the factory head unit for the E81 and E87 body styles of the 1 Series, in order to integrate Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. All other dashboard elements are not affected.

Installation consists of removing the factory head unit and installing this unit in its place, in the same slot.

The 1 Series E81 and E87 spans several production years and several audio equipment levels. Verify that your version matches this product via the compatibility table on this page, especially if your vehicle was not equipped with a factory head unit.
