The 3 Series has gone through several generations with different interior architectures. The compatibility of a sport steering wheel therefore depends precisely on your chassis. Between an E90/E92 and an F30/F80, the mounting points, control connectors and safety systems integrated into the steering wheel can vary significantly. The same logic applies between a G20 and its M variant (G80).

Before choosing, check your chassis code on line E of your registration document. Also note whether your 3 Series is fitted with cruise control or a speed limiter integrated into the steering wheel: depending on the model selected, these controls may or may not be carried over. What is the practical difference between a stock E90 steering wheel and a sport steering wheel fitted to a G20?
