The M Performance finish on this steering wheel is tailored to the X6 G06 architecture, which accounts for the different price compared to the version designed for the F16. The modification is limited to the steering wheel itself: the steering column, driver assistance systems, and onboard electronics are not affected.

The driver airbag must be removed before connecting the new steering wheel, a step that involves a pyrotechnic component and requires careful handling.
