Between the Golf 5 and the Golf 7, the Golf 6 has its own fascia references and connectors. This head unit is designed for this generation and brings Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as a replacement for the factory unit, without interfering with the rest of the onboard electronics or safety equipment.

Installation involves removing the factory head unit and plugging the new unit into the existing connectors on the dashboard.
