Specific to the 2 Series F22 for model years 2012 to 2021, these aluminum paddle shifters bearing the BMW Motorsport badge replace the gear-change controls located behind the steering wheel. They update the look of that area without affecting the steering wheel itself, the steering column, or the onboard systems.

Installation is done by clipping onto the existing positions behind the steering wheel, with no additional wiring required.
