The Passat B5 is an older generation with slots and connectors that differ from later Passat models. This head unit is specifically designed for it and integrates Android Auto and Apple CarPlay without a phone cable, replacing the factory unit. The other dashboard elements are not affected.

Installation involves removing the existing head unit and plugging the new block into the connectors available in the dashboard.
