Description

On the 5 Series E39, this replacement shift knob takes the place of the original on the manual gear lever. The change affects only the upper part of the lever, which is in daily contact with the driver’s hand, with no impact on the transmission or any other interior control.

Installation is done by unscrewing the existing shift knob and threading the new one directly onto the lever, with no need to disassemble the center console.

The E39 was sold with both manual and automatic transmissions depending on the model year and engine variant. Confirm that your unit has a manual transmission before ordering, and refer to the compatibility chart on the page to verify fitment for your version.
